
TUBITAK 2209-A Project Successes from our department
The 4 projects prepared by the students of our department have been entitled to receive support within the scope of TÜBİTAK 2209-A Undergraduate Research Projects Support Program for the 2024/1 term.
The supported projects and their lead students are as follows:

In the project "Determination of the Optimal Vertebral Level for Muscle Mass Calculation and Organ Segmentation in Abdominal CT Images" to be led by Beyzanur Türkoğlu, Sendi Yazırlıoğlu will take part as a researcher, and Asst. Prof. Dr. Özge Öztimur Karadağ will be the advisor. The project aims to improve muscle mass calculation and organ segmentation processes in medical image analysis.

Asst. Prof. Dr. Özge Öztimur Karadağ will advise the project "Muscle Segmentation and Anomaly Detection with Traditional Methods in CT Images" to be led by Ali Mıçoğulları. This project will investigate the effectiveness of traditional methods for muscle segmentation and anomaly detection in computed tomography images.

Asst. Prof. Dr. Özge Öztimur Karadağ will advise the project "Digital Transformation in the Bovine Livestock Sector" to be led by Gizem Küçük, with Eyüp Hazar Kurtuluş serving as a researcher. The project aims to examine the possibilities of digitalization in the livestock sector and develop computer engineering solutions for this field.

Asst. Prof. Dr. Enis Arslan will advise the project "Post-Earthquake Air Pollutants Analysis Web Application" to be led by Nigina Abdukhalimova. The project aims to develop a web application that will analyze post-earthquake air pollution data and present the relevant information.
