TUBITAK 1001 Project Success from Our Department
The project, in which our department lecturer Asst. Prof. Dr. Özge Öztimur Karadağ is the researcher of the project, which is entitled to be supported within the scope of TÜBİTAK 1001 Scientific and Technological Research Projects Support Program.
Within the scope of the project, an artificial intelligence-based precision agriculture system based on real-time data will be developed for banana production in the greenhouse. The collected data will be used to create a model that can predict crop growth and quantity with high accuracy (>90%). In this way, it is aimed to both reduce water consumption and increase the amount of crops. The project will optimize resource use in agriculture, increase efficiency and set an example for environmentally friendly production models. The proving model to be developed will have a technology potential that can be applied not only in banana production but also in other agricultural products.
