Microsoft Imagine Cup 2024 World Championship from our department student
Emre Yıldız, one of the students of our Computer Engineering department, is a member of The From Your Eyes group, became the world champion in the Microsoft Imagine Cup 2024, one of the most prestigious competitions in the world of technology, beating 1500 competitors in the first stage and teams from Oxford University (United Kingdom) and Georgia Tech University (United States) in the second stage. In this competition organised by Microsoft, which offers young innovators the opportunity to be recognised globally, the From Your Eyes team has achieved an extraordinary success and outperformed all its competitors.
From Your Eyes develops machine vision solutions ranging from people to intelligence technologies. The From Your Eyes team won the admiration of the jury members and the audience with their project. Hosting the big event, Microsoft Vice President of Ecosystems Annie Pearl announced the name of the winner and presented the trophy. Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella also congratulated the team and emphasised how their project will make a difference in the world of technology. After their success at Imagine Cup 2024, the From Your Eyes team will have the opportunity to take their project even further with the $100,000 prize money and various supports.
