Scholarship Announcement
A scholarship (4800 TL * 5 months) will be given to one undergraduate student within the scope of TUBITAK 1002-B project carried out by Gürkan Çelik, a research assistant in our department. Project details are given below.
Purpose of the Research: The proposed project aims to improve the customer demand forecasting, which is one of the operational problems of shared transport systems, and the relocation strategies to be implemented by the operator company for supply-demand balancing. Improvements in demand forecasting will enable operators to place vehicles more efficiently and reduce resource waste. The developed forecasting models will be able to make more accurate forecasts by considering different types of data.
Research Context: By processing the usage data obtained from the shared e-scooter company; artificial intelligence models will be trained to suggest how much demand there will be in which region and when (spatiotemporally), how much scooters should be transferred to that region to meet this demand, how far apart the scooters to be transferred to that region should be distributed (depending on the walking preferences of the users), from which region these scooters should be supplied.
Interested students should send their CVs to gurkan.celik@alanya.edu.tr e-mail address.
